What is New in Version 3.0.0?

DeskMan Screensaver has been completely rewritten to optimize the CPU consumption. At the same time, the user interface graphics has been improved and set of new controls and background sound support added. Only basic idea of DeskMan ScreenSaver remains the same as in previous versions.

List of new features and controls:

• DeskMan figure size increased.
• Now user can change figure size.
• Default DeskMan figure face changed.
• User might change figure face. Three faces available now.
• Figure speed customizable, too.
• User can choose the background gradient type and set the background colors.
• Now user can choose whether the desktop wallpaper is to be restored by DeskMan as in previous versions or by fade-transition (default).
• Background sound support added.
• Trial version evaluation time is unlimited now, however the running time of DeskMan ScreenSaver is now limited to 5-minutes per session.

System Requirements. Installing and Uninstalling the Program

A modern PC running Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista is required. After installation the program uses about 5.7 MB disk space. The program requires at least 65000 colors (high color, 16-bit). It requires at least 800x600 screen resolution. A 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 8 or higher and with at least 64 MB of video memory is required. Also a DirectX 8 compatible sound card is required. Make sure all graphics and sound card drivers are up to date. DirectX 8 or higher is required (not included). You can download the newest version of DirectX from the Microsoft website at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ .

To install DeskMan Screensaver simply run dskman.exe and follow the on-screen instructions. You can install the software anywhere you like but it is best to follow the default suggestion given. Once installation is completed, in the Start menu you will find a new program group from which you can read the documentation or uninstall the screensaver.
You can uninstall DeskMan Screensaver with left-click on the Uninstall DeskMan Screensaver shortcut that you can find in the Start menu.
